After the presentation of the book in Ghent and in Crema (Italy) there is no reason to mantain the photographs secret. I uploaded 12 photographs online and the backcover of the book in a dedicated page under Projects & Books section. Click here to see it.
After the exhibition in Ghent and the presentation in Crema (Italy) it is time of a balance.
It has been an extremely positive experience. A first positive mark is surely the high number of feedbacks I got from people, not only in Belgium, but surprisingly in Italy too. both the events have been really participated, more than expected. The second thought is the following: what a month! But I would say what a year! Taking the photographs and making the book was not simple, organizing the events surprisingly even more difficult. It has been a great experience, I learned so many stuff, especially from the errors due to my unexperience.
The third thought I would like to share is that I am even more aware now of my need of photographying. That is what I missed more in these months. I have spent so much time to organize everything that the time to go out and take photos was really scarce. But today I took my camerawith me again and it will stay aroud my neck for the next weeks, months...no books or exhibition for a while.
I can return to make what I like most: just photographing. ;)
This evening, 9th January, in Fondazione San Domenico - Crema, I will present my book ITALIANEN - Il loro volto nelle Fiandre. Entrance is free and everybody is welcome. Thanks to Alice Gualandris and Caffè letterario to organize the event.
